Usually replacing an existing washing machine is easier than beginning from a scratch. However, in case you do need to plumb in a washing machine from a scratch, then that is also quite easy. Plumbing in a washing machine is quite similar to plumbing in a dishwasher as both need supplies of hot and cold water. In some cases, a time consuming affair, plumbing in a washing machine is not difficult and is quite easy when one uses push fit fittings, which any novice can also handle. The first step is to locate the best position for installing the appliance. An outside wall near the sink is an ideal location as all pipes would be in close proximity. Also ensure proximity to an electrical socket as the appliance would to be connected to the Mains supply. In case you are using push fit fittings, then it is the easiest to plumb the washing machine. In case of compression fittings, they can be a little difficult to tighten in confined places but are slightly cheaper. Before you begin the fittings, ensure that the washing machine is at a level and all four feet are in firm contact with the floor.
Also, the drain hose (hooked pipe) must be secured to the rear of the machine by support clips and can be routed to the right or left as required. Do insert a sealing washer at each connection to ensure watertight joints. Models of some popular frontloading washing machines are Samsung WF8604, Bosch WAE24164GB Classixx, Bosch WAS32469GB, Hotpoint AQ9D69I, Hotpoint WML520P, Samsung WF8602, Bosch WAE28364GB, Indesit IWD7145, Bosch WAE24364GB, Beko WM5140, Hotpoint WMF540, Hotpoint Aqualtis AQ9D69S and Beko WME8227.
