Every kitchen is usually equipped with various small appliances. These small appliances have to be kept in good working condition. It is therefore essential to clean them at regular intervals. Blenders, mixers, electric knives, can openers, coffee makers, toasters and food processors are some of the small appliances, which we use quite often, almost on a daily basis. What most of us forget to do after using them is to clean them properly and remove all embedded food particles that could be stuck in nooks and corners of the appliances. These particles can cause a bad or unpleasant odour.
Before you think of cleaning these small appliances, it is important that they are allowed to cool well. Also, obviously never clean an appliance like the Prestige 50774 Insignia toaster with it plugged into the electrical outlet. After unplugging the appliance and allowing it to cool, then use a soft cloth dipped in warm soap solution to clean parts of the appliances thoroughly. Then wipe them clean so no odour or soap solution remains. A soft cloth will not cause harm to the surface of the appliances.
During the cleaning process, it is essential that appliances should never be dipped in water directly. You must be careful not to use scrubbing brushes and harsh detergents for cleaning as they can cause scratches and harm the appliances. Most of these small appliances come with a set of cleaning instructions and it is recommended that these are followed to keep them in good working condition.
In case you have misplaced the instructions, you can always refer to the website of the product or even contact the manufacturer to get a new set. You can use soft toothbrushes to clean the insides of the appliances.
